DESCRIPTION

The grandeur of timeworn stone

The Hertex Leonardo Wallpaper in Empire captures the depth and character of monumental stone surfaces, with enlarged mineral veining that flows predominantly vertically across the wall. Brown, golden beige, soft grey and sandy tones merge in subtle variations, creating an almost ombré effect that feels as though layers of natural stone have been shaped by time.

Rather than a pattern of individual stone blocks, the design presents an expansive view of the stone itself. Intricate veins, small imperfections and realistic surface details lend it an authentic, weathered quality, while the textured vinyl finish adds tactile depth.

The overall effect is rich and architectural, recalling the imposing stone interiors of historic European buildings. Empire is particularly suited to spaces where warm materials, considered furnishings and a strong sense of atmosphere come together. Use it to create a striking feature wall in a living room, dining room, bedroom or entrance hall.

Curated by Hertex as part of their Philosophy Collection, this Belgian-made wallpaper combines thoughtful craftsmanship with practical everyday performance. The vinyl surface is scrubbable and durable, while the non-woven backing allows for straightforward paste-the-wall installation and strippable dry removal when it’s time to redecorate.

La Muur Notes:

Empire has a lovely balance of warmth and complexity. Its earthy browns and golden tones are softened by sandy neutrals and touches of grey, while the enlarged, flowing veining gives the wall movement without introducing a conventional repeating motif.

We love the way it combines the grandeur of marble with the imperfect character of aged stone. Pair it with natural timber, linen, warm neutrals and aged metal finishes for an interior that feels layered and established.
