DESCRIPTION

The quiet warmth of natural stone

Hertex Leonardo Wallpaper Travertine takes inspiration from the tonal richness of natural stone, with enlarged, flowing veins and softly blended shades of beige, cream and taupe. Golden highlights move gently through the design, creating depth and warmth without making the overall effect feel too dark or heavy.

The veining runs predominantly vertically, with subtle diagonal movement and tonal transitions that give the surface a natural, almost layered appearance. Fine imperfections and intricate details contribute to the realism, while the textured vinyl finish adds interest and dimension.

The design does not imitate individual stone blocks. Instead, it evokes the look of enormous slabs of weathered stone, bringing an architectural quality to the wall. Its softer palette makes it a versatile choice for living rooms, bedrooms, dining spaces and entrance halls, particularly where natural materials and understated warmth are central to the interior.

Curated by Hertex as part of their Philosophy Collection, this Belgian-made wallpaper combines thoughtful craftsmanship with practical everyday performance. The vinyl surface is scrubbable and durable, while the non-woven backing allows for straightforward paste-the-wall installation and strippable dry removal when it’s time to redecorate.

La Muur Notes:

Travertine is the gentler, lighter interpretation of Leonardo. Its cream, beige and taupe tones create a calm foundation, while the golden accents and elongated veining prevent the surface from feeling flat or uniform.

We particularly like its ability to introduce the character of stone without the visual weight of a dark marble. It works beautifully with pale timber, textured fabrics, warm whites and natural finishes, and can bring subtle grandeur to a room without relying on a bold colour contrast.
