DESCRIPTION

Vertical reed-like strands are gathered into softly irregular horizontal bands, creating a surface that feels architectural, natural and beautifully understated. Although completely smooth to the touch, the layered print creates remarkable depth.

Soft greige offers an airy interpretation of the woven design, combining warm cream, pale beige and gentle mineral tones with an almost silvery champagne shimmer. The subtle contrast between the vertical strands and horizontal woven bands creates depth that feels calm rather than patterned.

Originally released as Bamboo Stripe Wallpaper Greige, this design is inspired by the quiet rhythm of woven African reed matting rather than a bamboo. The warmth of this colourway works particularly well with oak, travertine, woven fibres, natural leather and linen, creating interiors that feel grounded, sun-warmed and quietly sophisticated. It has the comforting depth of natural earth pigments while remaining contemporary enough for modern spaces.

Produced by Galerie Wallcoverings, this premium wallpaper paper combines refined design with straightforward paste-the-wall installation. The spongeable surface makes it practical for everyday living while maintaining its beautifully matte appearance.

La Muur Notes:

This wallpaper surprised us because it doesn’t behave like a conventional stripe. The vertical reed-like texture creates calm movement across the wall, while the softly uneven horizontal bands stop it from feeling formal. It reminds us of woven reed ceilings and traditional handwoven African matting, where natural irregularity is part of the beauty.

In South African daylight, this neutral colourway of beige and cream creates a sense of space in a room. As you begin moving through the space, the delicate metallic shimmer quietly emerges, interwoven in subtle silvery champagne gold.

Although this wallpaper is paper-based, we refer to it as premium paper because it is strong fibrous and uses a paste-the-wall application rather than the traditional paste-the-paper method. We find it behaves much more like a modern wallpaper than many people would expect from a paper-backed product.
